The terms that govern your use of betty-translation.com and all services offered by Betty Translation GbR.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Client", "you") and Betty Translation GbR, Siedlerweg 3, 01809 Heidenau, Saxony, Germany ("Betty Translation", "we"). By purchasing a service or placing an order through betty-translation.com, you agree to these Terms in full.
Betty Translation offers professional translation and related language services as described on the website, including document translation, technical documentation translation, legal and sworn translation, audiovisual translation, software localisation, and revision and proofreading. All services are delivered digitally. No physical goods are supplied.
Service availability is subject to specialist capacity. We reserve the right to decline projects where we cannot assign a qualified specialist, where the subject matter falls outside our competence, or where deadlines cannot be met to our quality standard. In such cases, we will notify you and provide a full refund if payment has already been made.
An order is placed when you complete checkout via our website or confirm a written quote by email. A binding contract is formed when we send a written order confirmation by email. Until that confirmation is sent, no contract exists and no obligation to deliver arises. Quotations remain valid for 14 days from issue unless otherwise stated.
All prices are displayed in Euros (EUR) and are subject to VAT where applicable under German law. Fixed package prices are final as shown. Per-word and per-minute rates are specified in writing before project commencement. Payment is processed at the time of order via Stripe Checkout. We do not store payment card data.
For large or ongoing projects, invoicing arrangements may be agreed separately in writing. Invoices issued separately are payable within 14 days unless otherwise agreed.
Delivery timelines communicated at order or quotation stage are estimates and commence from the later of: payment confirmation, or receipt of all source materials required to complete the project. Where a project involves large volumes, unusual formatting, or unforeseen complexity, we will notify you if the original timeline cannot be met. We are not liable for delays caused by late supply of source materials by the Client. All deliverables are provided digitally by email or via secure file transfer.
Each package includes a specified number of revision rounds as stated at time of purchase. A revision is a correction of translation errors, omissions, or inaccuracies relative to the source document. Revisions do not include changes to the source text, style preferences not communicated before project start, or requests that fall outside the original project scope. Revision requests must be submitted within 14 days of delivery. Additional revision rounds beyond those included are available at our standard hourly rate.
You are responsible for supplying complete, legible, and accurate source materials. Where source documents are unclear, contain errors, or are of poor quality, translation quality may be affected and we are not liable for inaccuracies traceable to the source material. You are also responsible for informing us of any specific terminology requirements, style guidelines, or formatting conventions before the project begins.
Upon full payment, ownership of the translated materials passes to the Client. We retain the right to include a description of completed work in our portfolio, unless the Client requests confidentiality in writing. Source documents remain the property of the Client. We make no claim over them.
We treat all source documents and client information as confidential. All translators and reviewers sign individual confidentiality agreements. We do not disclose Client materials to third parties except as necessary to complete the service. Where a project requires a signed NDA, we will accommodate this on request.
Our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the amount paid for that specific order. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, loss of profit, or business interruption arising from a translation error unless such loss is caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct on our part. Translation services are professional opinions on the accurate rendering of text. Clients using translations for legal, medical, or regulatory submissions are advised to have them reviewed by a qualified professional in the relevant field.
These Terms are governed by German law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dresden, Germany. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.
