How, when, and in what format your completed translation is delivered.
Betty Translation GbR provides all translation and language services digitally. No physical products are shipped. This Delivery Policy explains how deliverables are transferred, in what format, within what timeframe, and what happens if issues arise with delivery.
All completed translations are delivered digitally by email to the address provided at checkout. For large files or sensitive legal documents, we may use encrypted file transfer links. No physical copies are sent by default. If you require a physical signed certified document, please advise us at the time of order; additional postal charges may apply.
Translations are delivered in the same file format as the source document unless you request otherwise. We commonly work with and deliver: Microsoft Word (.docx), PDF, Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), plain text (.txt), JSON, XLIFF, PO files, SRT subtitle files, and VTT caption files. If you need a specific format not listed here, please specify it when placing your order.
Delivery timelines are confirmed at the time of order or quotation acceptance and begin from the later of: payment confirmation, or receipt of all source materials from the Client. Indicative standard timelines are:

Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding German public holidays. Fast-Track availability must be confirmed before payment. We cannot guarantee Fast-Track for all project types.
Where an unexpected delay arises (due to illness, technical issues, or project complexity underestimated at quoting stage), we will notify you by email as soon as possible with a revised delivery estimate. If the revised date is not acceptable, you may cancel the order for a partial refund calculated on work completed to that point, as described in our Refund Policy.
If you have not received your completed translation by the confirmed delivery date, please first check your email spam folder. If the file is not found, contact us at hello@betty-translation.com with your order number. We will investigate and redeliver within 24 hours or provide an explanation and revised date.
Delivery is considered complete when we send the completed files to the email address provided at checkout. If you have provided an incorrect email address, redelivery will be made without additional charge once you notify us and supply the correct address.
Delivery timelines depend on receipt of clear, complete source documents. Scanned PDFs of poor quality, handwritten documents, or partially complete files may extend the timeline. We will advise you of any issues with supplied materials before commencing work. If the source material is found to be significantly different from what was quoted (e.g. far higher word count or technical complexity), we will notify you and issue a revised quote before proceeding.
